What makes us so unique and especially sustainable?
Siebenblau started in 2010 as the first organic fabric shop for private customers in Germany. Today we are even more consistent than "organic" and go a big step further towards sustainability and environmental protection. We only have this one earth - this is our contribution to protect and preserve it:
Siebenblau is the first fabric store that completely renounces synthetic fibers and thus microplastics in all articles.. Our entire range of fabrics and haberdashery is free of synthetic fibers such as polyester (including recycled polyester) and free of elastane since 2021. Siebenblau has been GOTS certified for 10 years
Siebenblau is GOTS since 2012 certified. Our certification number is CU 822045. GOTS certification guarantees you, that we as a company work according to the highest environmental and social standards, but more importantly, it is verified every year that all our GOTS certified products are guaranteed to be produced according to the strict GOTS regulations.
With the GOTS logo on the certified products, we give you the assurance that our fabrics are produced according to strict environmental and social fair standards along the entire textile chain - from the fiber, to the weaving/knitting and dyeing, to our store counter. Also with our ecological sewing ingredients we are consistently plastic-free: We offer you Sewing threads from organic cottonbuttons from natural materials, round cords and lace ribbons from 100% organic cotton and ecological rubber bands from natural rubber.

We look very closely: At Siebenblau only fabrics and haberdashery that are made from organic fibers and renewable raw materials and that are produced without harmful chemicals and pollutants are allowed in our assortment. We love it as natural as possible, in part even undyed.
Because we are convinced that organic fabrics are several times better:

We are your source for fabrics made of cotton from controlled organic cultivation, for Wool fabrics from certified organic livestock, for fabrics from Linen and Fabrics from hemp. A special feature in our range of fabrics are various Fabrics from naturally colored grown organic cotton - a rarity! For those who want to dye their own fabrics, we also have several largely untreated and undyed fabrics to choose from. We also have Organic sewing threads, Organic bias tapes and Organic lace ribbons 100% organic cotton as well as ecologically sustainablerubber bands from natural rubber in the assortment.
Sustainability is an essential corporate philosophy for us and does not stop with the organic fabric range. We
- exclusively use green electricity,
- have our printed matter printed climate-neutrally on FSC-certified paper,
- ship CO2 neutrally with DHL GoGreen and
- use completely plastic-free shipping materials.
