This plain corozo button has a smooth, flat surface and a slightly rounded back.
Material: Corozo (stone nut)
Corozo is a natural material extracted from the seeds of the corozo palm tree. Also known as vegetable ivory, corozo is a plant-based, sustainable material. Unlike synthetic fibers and plastic, it is non-toxic and biodegradable.
No trees are cut down to produce Corozo buttons, as the buttons are made from the nuts of palm trees.
Corozo seeds can also only be harvested when they naturally fall from the tree, otherwise they are not mature enough for the production of the buttons. As a result, the production of Corozo buttons does not require deforestation.
Corozo is composed of very dense organic fibers, which are responsible for their excellent durability and scratch resistance.
Corozo buttons are dyed with environmentally friendly dyes and also have a unique fixation which makes them resistant to washing and steam.
The buttons are OEKO-TEX 100 certified.
